Analysts
Ignite is seeking analysts to work on internal and external projects within our fast-paced high-growth insurance technology company. The role is designed for candidates who lean more towards being a technical business/product analyst than a pure business analyst.
The BA works in-house in a team of other BAs, developers and testers, most often in a team of 4-6 people.
Typical duties include:
- Liaising with clients
- Writing up detailed technical requirements for projects
- Hosting team stand-ups, allocating work,
- Managing and working on multiple projects concurrently
- Liaising with Ignite’s other BAs and management to give visibility of project timescales
- Creating and running ad-hoc SQL queries
- Producing release notes
- Bringing forward innovative ideas for projects and process improvements
Required Skills
- Commercial experience
- A strong work ethic and a high attention to detail
Desired Skills
- Experience in insurance or financial services
- Degree or good quality academic qualifications
- An IT-related qualification
- Relevant courses include: BTEC (Edexcel) National Certificate and Diploma IT Practitioners, City & Guilds (E-Quals) IT Practitioners Certificate and Advanced Diploma and OCR (iPRO) Certificate for IT Practitioners, Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
- Experience in JIRA or Microsoft DevOps or equivalent
- SQL Management Studio experience
- Experience of working in a software house
